Operation: How to change the tire on the Dodge Ram 1500

To change the wheel of a Dodge Ram 1500 proceed as follows: make sure that the vehicle is on level ground, if the vehicle is equipped with adjustable suspensions position them on "tire jack mode", turn off the car, insert warning light, engage the handbrake, block the opposite tire on the other axle (for example, if you change the front right tyre, seal the rear left tyre). The tools for changing the rubber are located under the passenger seat, to access them remove the plastic cover on the side of the seat by pulling towards you, remove the yellow bolt and slide the tools. Remove the spare wheel from its housing before raising the vehicle (insert all the extensions up to the one with the hook attachment into the L-shaped wrench). Insert the hose through the access hole between the lower tailgate and the top of the bumper and into the winch mechanism hose. Turn the L-wrench handle counterclockwise until the spare tire is on the ground with enough slack in the cable to pull it out from under the vehicle. When the spare wheel is free, tilt the catch at the end of the cable and pull it through the center of the wheel. Now loosen, but do not remove the wheel nuts while the wheel is on the ground. Now, look for the correct jacking positions (for a front wheel, place the scissor jack under the rear of the lower control arm, with the handle extended diagonally towards the rear of the vehicle; for a rear wheel, place the jack, under the rear jacking point with the handle extended to the rear of the vehicle). We begin to lift the vehicle not before checking if the jack is in the right position and starting to lift the jack with our hands and then we lift the vehicle with the L wrench and the extensions until the wheel lifts. Remove the bolts, the punctured wheel and insert the spare wheel tightening the nuts by hand, lower the vehicle and tighten the bolts with the wrench. We can now return the spare wheel cable to its place and place the tools under the seat. Now the operation is finished.
