Diagnosis and Repair of Engine Noise

Model: RAM 2500 BE, BR, MK 2 - Years 1994-2001

This Dodge RAM has some issues with the engine: a double noise (a kind of knocking and a ticking) is audible when the engine is running. The noise is identified on the right side, the passenger side. After removing the rocker cover, you can see that a 13 mm bolt from one of the rocker supports is broken; the broken bolt will need to be extracted and replaced. After placing the pair of supports in a vise, use a small chisel to unscrew the threaded part of the bolt. Install the rocker support with a new bolt. The cause of the noise should now be eliminated!
