To deactivate the alarm on a Renault Megane, completely remove the carpet located at the bottom of the glove compartment on the passenger side. Once the carpet in this position has been removed, you will locate the connector underneath that controls the alarm's operation.

Disconnecting this connector will completely deactivate the car's alarm: you can then replace the carpet in its correct position. To reactivate the alarm, simply reconnect the connector.
