How to replace the fuel filter on a Renault Kangoo II

Model: Renault Kangoo MK 2, FC, FW - Years 2007-2021

The operation of replacing the fuel filter must be done every 2 years or 40,000 km on the Renault Kangoo II: we open the hood and disconnect the electrical connector of the filter heater. The two fuel lines are fixed with snap connectors. To release them, we press the two green tabs on each side simultaneously and pull the tube upwards. We apply a bit of tape on the opening of each tube to prevent dirt from getting in. We unscrew the 10 mm nut, pull up the entire box to remove it, open the cover; the filter is held in place by a threaded pin. We screw the new screw into the pin and, placing the box on a flat surface, give it a sharp blow to remove it from its seat. We insert the new filter and reassemble everything. We put the box back in place, reconnect the outlet tube, turn on the instrument panel to activate the fuel pump and wait for it to fill the filter and come out of the inlet tube connection, thus purging the air: only now can we reconnect the inlet tube. We clean up the spilled fuel and start the engine, letting it run at idle for a few minutes.
