In this video, we can see how to open the front hood of a 2018 Renault Twingo Limited: it is a car derived from the Smart, with which it shares the method of opening the hood. Fortunately, on this car, as with the Smart, the engine is located in the rear; otherwise, even just checking the oil level would become quite a task.

You have to remove the grilles from both sides (perhaps one could be left in place), open it with the ignition key, and then physically remove the entire hood cover to access what is presumed to be a convenient luggage compartment.
