In this video, we can see that on this Renault Grand Scenic MK3, the spare wheel release mechanism seemed stuck, possibly due to incorrect installation. The wheel would not lower despite attempts with the winch. It was found that the support was damaged - it had come loose around the pin - causing dangerous oscillations while driving. The YouTuber attempted to cut the support, but there was a risk of damaging the entire system. Another method was to insert a tool from above, unscrewing the stuck bolt. This way, nothing needs to be cut. Be careful, as once the last bolt is removed, the entire support will fall, so it is better to support it with a prop.
