Activating the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Registering New Sensors on a Renault

This video refers to the activation of TPMS sensors on a Renault vehicle where they are not fitted as standard. First, obtain the sensors which can be found on AliExpress with code 1005008747733101 at a price of £17.81, with free shipping. Connect the OBD2 diagnostic interface and start the car, open the software, which in the video is "EcatTweaket" and select the model of the car. In the instrument cluster module, look for the option "general configuration 1", change the parameter "present" from "ss" to "akv" to activate the function: save it. Access the "body control module" and look for "TPMS configuration" and set "present" from "WZOUT" to "VIN". Note or photograph the 8-digit codes of the TPMS sensors: the first two digits are not needed, only the last six will be used; ensure that the codes are different for each wheel and manually enter them into the software. Save the settings and restart the car. Now drive for 5-10 minutes at 12 mph: the pressure values will appear on the instrument cluster: during calibration, they will show "--".
