How to Remove the Inner Door Panel on Renault Clio

This guide explains the steps to remove the inner door panel, focusing on the front panel, although all others will be quite similar. First, remove the triangular plastic trim located near the mirror; this will be clipped in, and you can simply lever it out between the trim and the door metal. After this, unscrew the screw located inside the well where the window switch buttons are housed, then move on to the two visible screws at the bottom of the panel. At this point, inside the handle, you will notice a small plastic cap that needs to be removed to access a screw that must be unscrewed. Once the screws are removed, you can extract the well housing the window switch buttons; to do this, lever between the panel and the well, then disconnect the power connector at the back. After this, there will be two final screws located inside the speaker housing; to access them, you will need to remove the speaker protection grille, which will be clipped in and can be removed by levering between the grille and the panel. Now the panel will only be held by plastic clips and the window guide at the top; to detach it, simply lever between the door metal and the panel, and once all clips are released, lift the panel to extract it from the window guide. As a final step, to completely remove the panel, you will need to unclip the door opening rod from the panel handle, which will be connected with a plastic clip. It is also recommended to perform the various steps using plastic levers designed specifically for this type of operation or to protect surfaces with cloths if using makeshift levers like screwdrivers or similar.
