How to Change Oil and Filters on a Renault Megane 4 Petrol

Model: Renault Megane Megane 4, Megane IV - Years 2015-2023

Start by lifting the car and removing the engine cover. Then unscrew the drain plug and collect the used oil in a container, which you will dispose of along with the filter at an authorised centre. The oil filter is also located underneath: unscrew the filter flange, remove the old filter, replace the O-ring, and insert the new filter. Clean the filter seat and re-screw the flange. Now put in a new drain plug, clean up any oil residue with brake cleaner, replace the engine cover, and lower the car. Pour 90% of the recommended oil quantity into the filler cap. Close the cap, start the engine for 30 seconds, wait a few minutes, and then check the dipstick as usual to ensure the level is close to "max", but never above. Add oil if necessary.
