Before unscrewing the oil drain plug from under the sump, open the filler cap on the tappet cover in order to facilitate the drain operation; then remove the splash guard from under the engine compartment and unscrew the drain plug from the oil pan; once the drain is complete, screw the cap back on and refit the protection; then access the engine compartment to replace the oil filter, using a chain or clamp wrench to unscrew it; sprinkle the gasket of the new filter with oil and screw it into its seat without exceeding the tightening torque; then fill the engine with clean oil up to the maximum level; it is recommended to properly dispose of the used oil and the filter.
