How to Replace the Fuel Pump on a Renault Clio

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Fuel pump

Let's see how to remove the fuel pump on a Renault Clio. First, lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod, then remove the engine soundproofing panel and tighten the fuel access to the engine. Disconnect the battery cables; remove the rear seat cushions (carpet in the boot). Unscrew the metal cap securing screws (if present) with a socket wrench, remove it from its seat, and cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to catch any fluid leaks. Disconnect the power terminals and the liquid circulation hoses. Finally, extract the fuel pump from its seat.

How to Open the Bonnet of the Ford Transit Custom

On many Ford vehicles, opening the bonnet is not done using the traditional lever located in the cabin, at the bottom left on the driver's side. Instead, you must use the ignition key to unlock a lock positioned at the front of the vehicle, usually beneath the manufacturer's badge. The reason for this choice is unclear, but it can pose a difficulty if the lock becomes jammed, risking damage to the key. You can try to disengage the lock by inserting a long screwdriver through the grille of the front panel. Once the first opening is achieved, spray some unlocking fluid on the lock to allow subsequent activation with the key.
