In this guide, we will discover how to dismantle and replace the timing belt and water pump on the Renault Megane 1.5 dCi. First, lift the vehicle and remove the lower engine mount, then remove the upper one on the timing side (keeping the engine raised with a jack); then disconnect the serpentine belt and remove the timing cover by unscrewing the crankshaft pulley.

At this point, take the necessary references for replacing the timing belt, replacing it with the new one; the replacement of the water pump is also illustrated.
