How to Replace the Timing Belt on the Renault Megane 1.5 DCi?

To replace the timing belt on the Renault Megane 1.5 DCi, open the bonnet to access the left side of the engine bay, where the plastic cover over the pulleys is located. By removing this cover, you will gain access to the pulleys and the belt itself: by loosening the central bolt of the tensioner pulley, the tension of the belt will be reduced, allowing you to remove it from its housing and replace it with a new one. After the new belt is installed, tension it by tightening the tensioner pulley and cover it with the appropriate plastic cover.
