How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Scenic 1.9 dCi

How do you replace the timing belt on a Scenic? Start by removing the covers and the belt. Lift the car on a column lift, remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Using a socket, unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, then remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump if it was removed, then install the tensioner and the belt, tightening everything with the socket. Refit the wheel arch liner and then the wheel.
