Removing the Alternator from a Renault Scenic

Is the alternator on your Scenic no longer working? Here’s how to remove the alternator from the engine bay. Lift the front bonnet of the car, locate the power battery, and disconnect the terminals. Use a socket spanner to undo the bolts on the sides of the alternator, taking care not to damage the wiring harness: remove all the securing bolts of the alternator. Once disassembled, pull it out from its designated space. Take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, tighten the securing bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Finally, reconnect the belt and the electrical terminals.
