Do you want to replace the damaged number plate bulb? Let's look at removing the number plate light on the Megane. The number plate light is located in the tailgate.

Remove the number plate light located in the rear bumper of the car (pry at the plastic). Once the light is removed, extract the bulb holder by hand, then disconnect the bulb from it. Fit the new/LED bulb (same size and voltage), inserting it into the bulb holder, and refit the light into the rear bumper, pressing it in until it clicks into place.

Remove both lights if the bulbs are damaged.
