Opening a Stuck Tailgate on a Renault Clio

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

Lower the rear seats and access the tailgate from the inside. With a medium flat-head screwdriver, push up from below the internal metal latch, as shown in the video, and lift it. This way, you will have unlocked the lock and can open the boot from the outside. To fix the boot, you need to remove the tailgate panel, which is secured only by a T15 Torx screw: unscrew it and manually pull out the panel. Once done, you can disconnect the lock connector and remove it for replacement. Then proceed in reverse order for reassembly. Good luck!
