How to Replace the Engine Oil and Filter on the Renault Clio mk4

This guide shows how to carry out the replacement of the engine oil and associated filter on the Renault Clio mk4. The first step is to secure the vehicle; with the bonnet open, unscrew the oil filler cap and add the cleaning additive. From under the vehicle, unscrew the drain plug and let the used engine oil flow into a disposal container. The oil filter is located at the bottom of the vehicle, near the drain plug; use a 27 mm socket to unscrew the filter. Be cautious of any oil flow. Clean the filter cover and install the new filter element. Clean up any oil residues and lower the vehicle to refill the tank. Use oil with specifications dictated by the manufacturer and in the correct quantities. Start the engine for a few minutes to circulate the oil and check the oil level again. The operation is complete.
