The most common mistakes during installation occur when underestimating the meaning of the symbols on the brake pad backing. If the letter R or L is present on the back of the directional pad, it means that, relative to the car's position, they should be mounted on the right or left of the discs. Instead of letters, there may also be an arrow on the directional pads indicating the mounting direction relative to the disc's rotation when the car moves forward. It may happen that directional pads do not have the arrow or letter indicating the mounting direction. The main advice is to carefully check for the crescent shape; this side of the pads should be oriented to meet the disc first during braking.
