Reasons Why Start & Stop May Not Function Properly on the Renault Kadjar

Model: Renault Kadjar MK 1 - Years 2015-2022

Start & Stop may not function for many reasons: the most common is that the vehicle is using power for other reasons, such as air conditioning or high beam headlights - obviously alongside other lights. In fact, the vehicle prioritises certain electrical loads at the expense of others, and in this case, Start & Stop is penalised. Alternatively, it may mean that the vehicle's battery is not sufficiently charged to support the load of multiple devices. This occurs when the battery charge is below 80% of its capacity. Another issue may arise from the high temperature of the coolant. Additionally, an excessive number of Stop & Go starts may have caused the problem. Specifically for diesel vehicles, the issue may also be generated by the anti-pollution system (DPF) which prevents Stop & Go while it regenerates, to avoid interrupting the process.
