Check Diesel Fuel Supply Leak

If the engine struggles to start, especially when cold, and runs unevenly once started, there may be a problem with low pressure in the diesel fuel supply system caused by a leak. To detect the leak, increase the pressure in the fuel supply system using the manual pump near the fuel filter: repeatedly press the pumping element until it resists and check the fuel lines; you can also disconnect the pump pipe and blow air at 1 bar using a compressor.
