Renault Megane - Video tutorial

Model: Renault Megane Megane 1 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Mass air flow sensor
Operation: MAF sensor or mass air flow sensor cleaning instructions

The air mass meter or mass flow meter, therefore, has the function of measuring the volume of air sucked in by the engine according to which the engine management control unit controls the quantity of fuel to be injected; since its operation is based on the variation of an electrical resistance, if this is contaminated it will provide the control unit with incorrect information thus compromising the performance and efficiency of the engine. This device is immediately located at the outlet of the air filter container: to be able to disassemble it, just disconnect it from the respective inlet and outlet ducts and then clean the resistance with brake cleaning spray: do not use brushes or pins to scrape the encrustations!
