How to Easily Remove the Tachograph from a Renault Trafic

Let’s see how to easily remove the tachograph from a Renault Trafic (the same procedure applies to the Nissan Primastar). First, remove the trim plastics, which can be easily taken off with a plastic spatula as they are simply clipped in place. Now, using a Torx screwdriver size 20, remove the screws at the base of the instrument cluster. At this point, the instrument cluster can be lifted easily, revealing the electrical connectors. The red connector is removed by turning the black lever in front of it. For the green connector, reach behind it with your finger and find the button that allows you to remove it. At this point, the instrument cluster is free, and you can take it out to carry out the necessary work.
