Handbrake Adjustment Instructions

It is recommended to perform this maintenance with the engine cold, as the adjustment system is located just above the exhaust pipe: first, remove the heat shield between the exhaust pipe and the vehicle's underbody to access the handbrake cable adjustment system; then, locate the adjustment nut and tighten it so that the handbrake lever rises by three or four clicks; after the adjustment, lift the rear wheel and ensure that with the handbrake released, the wheel spins freely to confirm that the adjustment is not excessive.
