As shown in this tutorial, replacing the gear knob on the Renault Scenic is an extremely simple and quick operation. You will only need a small flathead screwdriver and, of course, the correct replacement part.

First, unclip the base of the gaiter from the centre console, then grasp the knob and pull it upwards with force while simultaneously rotating it in both directions. Once removed, turn the gaiter inside out, remove the internal locking ring, and refit it into the replacement knob.

Reposition the knob onto the shaft and secure the base of the gaiter.
