Replacing the Front Brake Pads on a Renault Clio

Model: Renault Clio MK 3, Clio 3, Clio III - Years 2005-2013

To replace the front brake pads, start by opening the bonnet and unscrewing the cap of the brake fluid reservoir. Lift the front of the vehicle with a jack and place it on axle stands, then remove the wheel and position it under the car. Rotate the disc outward to facilitate the operation; using a large flathead screwdriver, push the old pads outward to retract the piston. Using a 13 mm spanner, unscrew the two bolts holding the caliper while holding the underlying nut with a 15 mm spanner. Once the caliper is free, support it with a cable to the suspension to avoid stressing the brake line. Remove the pads and anti-noise springs, and clean their seats. Refit the new springs and pads, applying a thin layer of copper grease to the ends. Reattach the caliper, securing it with the new screws provided in the kit, tightening them with a torque wrench to 27 Nm. Refit the wheel and repeat the process on the other side. Once finished, replace the brake fluid reservoir cap.
