Replacing Front Shock Absorbers

Model: Renault Koleos MK 1 - Years 2008-2015

To replace the front shock absorbers, first obtain the appropriate clamps to compress the shock absorber spring. Lift the vehicle on a ramp and remove the front wheel. Disconnect the link from the shock absorber bracket and free any cables and pipes attached to the shock absorber. Then, unscrew the two mounting bolts securing the shock absorber to the hub support and access the engine bay to unscrew the bolts securing the shock absorber support to the body strut. Once the shock absorber is removed, apply the clamps to compress the spring, remove the support, and extract the spring and dust cover. Fit the dust cover and spring to the new shock absorber and reverse the process for installation.
