How to Replace Car Shock Absorbers

If your car has covered more than 62,000 miles, you will need to replace the shock absorbers. These components help to absorb the vehicle's bumps and increase safety while cornering. Lift the left side of the car with a jack and then remove the wheel, ensuring you take off all four bolts that hold it in place. Next, open the bonnet by operating the appropriate lever and remove all four screws located above the shock absorber. Then, remove the two screws on the driveshaft and also the one on the stabiliser that runs parallel to the shock absorber. The shock absorber will then come out on its own.
