Non-Functioning Heater Fan on the Renault Twingo II

In this video, we will see what to do if the heating fan is not functioning properly on your Renault Twingo. The first step is to check the fuse: you can do this using the legend found on the cover of the fuse box; the second step is to check the wiring; beneath this, there is a resistor that tends to get very hot, especially when using low settings. In the video, we can see the replacement of the resistor, along with the connections for the fan and wiring; usually, the problem lies in this component if the fan operates partially. To remove it, you need to take out the two screws visible in the video and slide it out of its housing. Another reason for malfunction could be the relay located in the footwell on the right, in the box shown in the video. It can be cleaned or replaced, depending on your skills. The last component is the fan, and to access it, you need to remove the glove compartment. You will need to remove the metal trim with a spatula and then the five screws holding the compartment in place, two of which are located on the outer side. After moving several components, you will find the fan, disconnect the wires and the connector; be very careful when removing it as the plastic is very fragile.
