Video tutorial

If you need to remove the steering wheel or the indicator stalk of the Renault Modus, the first step is to detach the driver’s side airbag. This device is secured to the steering wheel spokes via springs that fit into specific aluminium slots shaped like hooks.

Behind the spokes, there are holes through which you can insert a screwdriver to push and release the spring. It may be helpful to pull the airbag outward while pressing on the springs to disengage them more easily.
