When you start the vehicle, the airbag light illuminates for a few seconds before turning off. This is the check that the vehicle performs at each ignition. However, if it remains on, it indicates a problem, often related to the yellow wiring located under the driver's (or passenger's) seat.

Before working on this component, it is good practice to disconnect the negative terminal of the 12-volt battery. The video shows both the yellow wiring and the connector of the same colour.

These components tend to have issues due to the seat moving forwards or backwards; additionally, hitting the connector with the vacuum cleaner during cleaning can cause problems. The same can happen when driving on very bumpy roads.

Therefore, check that the connector is securely attached and that the yellow wire has not been damaged.
