To replace the starter motor in a Saab 9 5, open the bonnet and access the components underneath, as the starter motor is located at the front of the engine block. It will be secured to its supports with some 10 mm screws and some 12 mm screws. Additionally, to remove it, you will need to disconnect the connectors attached to it. Once the screws are loosened and the connectors disconnected, you can extract the starter motor from its housing and replace it with a new part.
