If the gear knob in your first-generation Saab 9-5 (1997-2010) is too worn and you want to replace it yourself, simply follow the instructions below and carry out the various steps. First, get into the car and ensure it is turned off, then remove the leather cover by hand. Once done, take the knob and pull it upwards with force until it is completely detached. Finally, fit the new knob and correctly reposition the leather cover.
