Rear door lock of the Seat Leon that does not open: before changing the lock, let's try this.

We know that the locks of the Seat Leon have the problem of being rather fragile. In this video, we see how it is possible to repair the rear one without the need to replace it. However, we will still have to disassemble the internal panel, removing the top part which is only snapped in. Then disconnect the lock cable, attached to a ring through a hook and the electrical connector. Now with a drill and a 4 mm bit, we make a hole in the lock, so that we can insert the WD-40 tube and lubricate it properly. We slide the cable several times so that it lubricates well and then reassemble everything. Now we do a test of the functioning which turns out to be positive.
