Replacing the Key Battery on Seat Ibiza

Is the flat battery due for replacement? Here’s how to change the battery in a Seat Ibiza key. Take the remote control and use a small screwdriver to unscrew the tiny securing screw; pry between the two covers of the key (split the covers as shown in the video). Leverage until the two covers separate, then, extract the old battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Remove the small battery from the cover and replace it with a new one, pressing on the key case until you hear it click into place. Screw the screw back into the rear of the cover.
