Seat Ibiza - Video tutorial

Model: Seat Ibiza 6J, 6P - Years 2008-2017
Part: Door panel
Operation: Removing the front door panel and handle on Seat Ibiza

First, remove the protection of the central handle by prying it in the slots with a plastic wedge, then unscrew the screws below and now uncovered. Now, again with the wedge or with a plastic lever, remove the central plate of the panel. Unscrew the other screws now accessible, then unscrew the bolts located under the panel and which secure it at the bottom. At this point, remove the screw covers and unscrew the side bolts, i.e. in the part accessible only by opening the door. Unscrewed these you can also extract the cylinder and the lock handle. Remove the panel and disconnect its cables.

With the ignition on, the fuel cap, or rather the fuel filler flap, is open and therefore accessible. When trying to turn off the aforementioned ignition and then lock the car with the key, it is assumed that the petrol door, as well as the doors of the car, are closed, but this is not the case, in fact the latter in practice always remains open. Ultimately, you can access the fuel tank whether the car is closed or open.
