Let's see how to perform the testing and calibration procedure for the air vents on the Skoda Octavia 3. This is an internal diagnostic mode of the climate control system that is used to recalibrate the flap motors, test their operation, and resolve issues with air coming from the wrong vents or being unable to change the direction of airflow.

First, turn on the ignition, and simultaneously press the "A/C" button and the button that directs the airflow towards the face for about 5 seconds: the procedure will start automatically. The ventilation button indicators will begin to flash, and we will hear the electric motor moving the flaps back and forth, searching for their mechanical limits. The entire process lasts 20 to 30 seconds: at the end, the LEDs will stop flashing, and the noises will cease, indicating the completion of the calibration, which resolves most flap-related issues.
