Oil and Filter Change on a Skoda Kamiq 1.0 TSI

Let's see how to perform the oil and filter change on a Skoda Kamiq: position the car on axle stands, remove the lower cover, and place the collection bowl under the oil sump, then using a 19 mm spanner, unscrew the drain plug and let the used oil drain completely. Meanwhile, change the oil filter located in the engine bay, in a plastic housing. If using a filter spanner, it will be easier to extract the cartridge of the old filter. Clean the sealing surface in the housing, insert the new filter, and lubricate the seal with a bit of new oil; hand-tighten the filter housing without over-tightening it. Fit a new drain plug and a new seal to the sump, reassemble the undertray, and from the bonnet, add the new oil, referring to the owner's manual for the type. Check the level several times with the dipstick after briefly starting the engine. Remember to dispose of the oil and filter at an authorised centre.
