How to Replace the Key Battery of a Skoda Octavia

Model: Skoda Octavia MK 2, 1Z - Years 2004-2012

To begin, open the key to access the key slot. Once done, you will notice a groove that runs around the horizontal circumference of the key. Take a flathead screwdriver or another thin tool and insert it into the groove, applying a little pressure. After this step, the key will be slightly open, but not fully. To open it completely, pull the two ends apart. Once the two ends are separated, take the lower part of the key and open it simply with your hands. At this point, you will see the battery. Now, remove the old battery and install the new one. To reassemble the key, simply follow the steps in reverse.
