How to Replace the Headlight Bulb on a Skoda Octavia Mk2

Let’s see how to replace the front headlight bulb on a Skoda Octavia Mk2: first, open the front bonnet, then unscrew the large white plastic screw protruding from behind the headlight unit. Pry and pull the entire headlight towards you, disconnect the electrical connector, and place the headlight unit on a flat surface. Use a size 15 star screwdriver. Unscrew the part where the bulbs are inserted, which is also held by two large clips. Remove the bulb, which is a push-fit, and replace it with a new one, remembering not to touch it with bare hands. Now, close the metal housing by refitting the screws and closing the clips. Another bulb is in the adjacent hole, covered by a plastic cap; use the same method to replace it. Refit the headlight unit and reconnect the electrical connector, then screw the white plastic screw back in, and the job is complete.
