Resetting the service light on a Skoda Octavia, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, ensure you have completed all scheduled maintenance work.

Start by entering the cabin, then insert the key but leave it in the initial position. Next, press and hold the button marked "0.0/SET" located at the centre of the dashboard, and simultaneously turn on the ignition.

Finally, hold the button for about 2 seconds, release it, and press it again to confirm the reset.
