Replacing the Timing Belt

Model: Skoda Superb B5, 3U - Years 2001-2008

Open the bonnet and remove the bumper, the anti-intrusion bar, and everything behind it, which is the entire front bumper assembly of your vehicle. You will need specific tools to work on the parts to be disassembled. Now, detach the front bumper part to work more comfortably on the belt. Rotate the tensioner bolt to extract the timing belt. To remove the trapezoidal belt, unscrew the tensioner bolt from its rear. Once the belt is removed, you can also take out the radiator fan. Now, remove the pulleys and the cover of the last belt to extract all pulleys more easily. After removing the bolts from the covers of this last belt, you can also remove it. You can loosen the tension on the belt using specific tools and remove this last belt as well. To remove the pulley from this belt system, you will need to insert a pin to lock it and unscrew the pulley bolts to remove it, loosen the belt tension, and take it off.
