Changing the Engine Oil and Filter on a Smart Fortwo

Watch this video to learn how to change the engine oil and filter on a Smart Fortwo. Lift the car using a column lift or a jack and open the engine compartment located in the boot. Use a socket spanner with the appropriate socket to unscrew the bolt located under the oil sump, allowing the oil to drain into a container for future disposal (or use a suitable pump to extract the oil). After all the oil has drained, refit the bolt in the oil sump. Use a strap wrench to unscrew the filter, lubricate the new filter, and screw it into place. Finally, top up the oil reservoir with new fluid following the manufacturer's recommendations.
