Remove and replace the alternator belt on a Smart Fortwo

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Alternator

Let's see in this video how to remove and replace the alternator belt on a Smart Fortwo. We lift the car onto a column bridge and slide off the rim, then remove the engine cover (if available) with a socket wrench. With a spanner we go to loosen the pin of the tensioner roller and remove the belt from the alternator. With a socket wrench we go to unscrew the pin until it is removed from the belt tensioner roller. We assemble the new belt with the pin, we tighten everything with the fixed key. Finally we assemble the locking pins of the stone guard and refit the rim with the rubber on the car.
