How to remove the rear shock absorber on a Smart Fortwo? The first step to follow: unscrew the locking pins of the shock absorber with a special socket wrench, lift the car onto a column bridge and remove the rear wheel. Remove the plastic stone guard and begin to unscrew the locking pins of the shock absorber to the wheel hub with a socket wrench (remove the brake circuit tubes with a screwdriver). Unscrew the pins on the side, remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support support under the bar). We mount the new shock absorber on the car by working backwards.
