How to disassemble the airbag control unit of the Smart Fortwo

Today we will discover the guide that will allow us to disassemble and replace the airbag control unit of the Smart Fortwo. First of all, we open the front hood of the car and start by disconnecting the battery terminals; then we get into the car and proceed with the disassembly of the central console, unscrewing the screws inside and disconnecting the various wiring, as shown in the video. At this point, we will have access to the airbag control unit, unscrewing the screws and disconnecting the electrical cable to remove it; let's repair it or replace it directly!
