Removing the Door Panel on a Smart Fortwo

How do you remove the (outer) door panel on a Smart Fortwo? Before starting the removal work, disconnect the battery terminals located in the front engine compartment (if you need to disconnect electrical cables). Use a screwdriver to unscrew the securing screws on the inner door panel, then detach the rubber seal next to the glass on the door. Use a plastic lever to unclip all the clips of the door panel (levering around the entire perimeter of the door). Finally, pull away the outer panel with your hands. Refit everything in reverse order.
