How to remove the door panel (exterior) on a Smart Fortwo? Before starting the disassembly work, let's disconnect the battery terminals located in the front engine compartment (if we have to disconnect electrical cables). With a screwdriver we go to unscrew the tightening screws placed in the panel of the interior door, we remove the rubber gasket placed on the door next to the crystal. With the plastic lever we unhook all the clips of the door panel (leveraging the entire perimeter of the door). Finally, we pull off the skirt with our hands. Let's reassemble everything by proceeding backwards.
