How to replace the plexiglass on your car? Learn how to remove the side glass of a Smart Fortwo. Use a suitable lever (metal or plastic) to remove the plastic seal from the bodywork (inner side) and the external plexiglass. Remove any traces of glass and dirt from the door, then apply silicone to the edge of the metal frame of the plexiglass to create a uniform perimeter. Finally, place the new glass on the siliconed metal base (secure everything with masking tape). Wait for the silicone to dry; do not use the car before it is fully cured.
