How do you replace the fuses in the engine compartment of a Smart Fortwo? Follow this guide. Open the plastic levers on either side of the front grille with your hands.

Once the front plastic is free, lift it upwards with your hands, then remove it from the vehicle body. Use a screwdriver to detach the cap next to the vehicle's battery, and remove it from the fuse box. Once the box is exposed, replace the damaged fuses with new ones.

After maintenance, refit the fuse box cap and close the front bonnet.
