How to Replace the Serpentine Belt on the Smart Fortwo

Today, you will discover the step-by-step instructions that will allow you to remove and replace the serpentine belt on the Smart Fortwo. First, lift the vehicle and begin removing the front right wheel and the wheel arch liner, then loosen the tensioner to remove the auxiliary belt from the various pulleys; replace and install the new original serpentine belt, releasing the tensioner and ensuring it is correctly seated, as shown in the video. At this point, remount the wheel arch liner and the front wheel; all that’s left is to start the engine!
